The Petersfield Christmas Festival returns to the town this December featuring a fantastic mix of music, shopping, entertainments and family fun.
Organised by East Hampshire District Council the festival, which attracted more than 20,000 visitors in 2008, will transform the town into a winter wonderland!
Come along and browse the markets, enjoy the fun fair or visit Santa's Grotto.
Festival Dates and Times
• Friday 4th December 2009 - 4pm to 9pm*
• Saturday 5th December 2009 - 10am to 8pm
• Sunday 6th December 2009 - 10am to 4pm
* Incorporating the annual switching on of the Petersfield Christmas Lights
Markets
The focal point for the Christmas Festival 2009 will be the market square which will 
be home to a parade of wooden chalets each run by hand-picked local traders offering crafts, gifts and jewellery.
On the High Street and elsewhere stalls will be set up by traders from Hampshire Farmers' Market, the Saturday market, a French market and individual businesses.
Entertainments
There will be plenty to see and do during the festival. Performers will keep the atmosphere bubbling from the stage in The Square, while children can explain what they really want for Christmas at Santa's Grotto.
Fun fair rides will draw crowds down to the Festival Hall and St Peter's Church will be reminding people of the true spirit of Christmas with their own programme of events, including a tour of the tower and a carol concert.
