LEADER Funding 2008 -2013
Joint working agreement
On the 4th of March 2009, East Hampshire District Council and Winchester City Council signed a joint working agreement in order to hand out the funding. The event, marking the official start of the programme and involving a meeting of the Local Action group took place at the Sustainablility Centre near East Meon.
The money will be available for projects which will enhance the rural areas. The funding has been earmarked to support the regeneration of rural communities, develop rural tourism and help further develop skills for small businesses in the area. It will also be used to enhance the rural environment and enable agricultural, forestry and woodland business to develop.
Expression of Interest
Farmers, foresters, growers and rural businesses in Winchester and East Hampshire districts (minus the more urban areas of Winchester town, Alton, Whitehill-Bordon, Petersfield and Horndean) are welcome to apply for a share of the new £2 million Leader funding through grants of up to £50,000.
The bid document and the expression of interest forms and process are available for download.
