Whitehill is located in the North East of the District.  This "new town" has grown up around the military establishment of Bordon (School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering) to provide modern employment and residential accommodation for a population of 13,000 people. 

The major employment sites are at Woolmer and Bordon Trading Estates and Hillview Business Centre along the A325. Together with the villages of Liphook, Bramshott, Grayshott, about 25 percent of the area's employment is located in this North East part of the District - notably manufacturing, defence, tourism, leisure and financial services.

Set in an area designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest and ecologically outstanding as a wildlife sanctuary, these attractive villages combine history with a contemporary way of life.
