Riverside walkBustling village takes its name from the Celtic word 'Lis' meaning palace or large state. The village setting on the River Rother is recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The friendly community of Liss has flourished since the opening of its rail service in 1858. A range of businesses, eating places and shops continues to thrive.

Famous for:
 Pre-ice age Neolithic archeologic finds, original Domesday village entry, recent discovery of Roman villa and bath house.
