Promoting leisure, sport and physical activity opportunities across East Hampshire.

teadanceGet Active East Hampshire is all about making people in the district healthier and happier.

The aim is to increase the number of people in our district who take part in sport and other activities. We help people find out about traditional sports like swimming and football, but also less well known activities like 'Walking to Health' and chairobics classes.

Leisure

We are well served by our local leisure centres, with plenty of things to get involved in. There are also community schools that open their facilities to the public.

Sport

Find out how we encourage sport in the local area, and how we support clubs and coaches. There's also information about the annual Hampshire Games.

Active Lifestyles

The 'Give it a Go!' campaign is very hands on in getting people to do any kind of exercise that works for them - not just joining a gym, but chairobics for the less mobile, and Walking for Health. EHDC has two Active Lifestyles officers.
