Building Control - Fire Safety
A Full Plans application must be deposited when works are being carried out on premises that are used, or proposed to be used, as a workplace. In practice this applies to most non-domestic premises, however it may also include certain flats with common areas.
Details of the Building Regulations which are required are contained in Approved Document Part B, which looks at how fire safety is designed into a building.
The guidance is split into two parts: Volume 1: Dwellinghouses and Approved Document B – Volume 2: Buildings other than Dwellinghouses.
