Opportunities for the local economy
The local economy can benefit with helping to prevent climate change. We can reduce our CO2 emissions by cutting out long journeys. This can benefit local shops and businesses if we use these instead.
By using local shops, this also helps reduce CO2 emissions, as by buying food which is locally produced, it cuts down on the distances that food has to travel to get to shops.
