Voting
You must be on the electoral register to be eligible. You can then vote in one of three ways.
1. Go to your local polling station on election day, 5 May. You will receive a card telling you where this is. You do not have to take your polling card to the polling station, but it is helpful if you do. Stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.
2. Vote by post in advance of the election. A postal vote must be received by East Hampshire District Council by 10pm on election day. If you wish to do this, you must have applied in advance by 5pm on 14 April. If you have received your postal voting pack, you will not be able to vote at a polling station. If you wish to cancel your postal vote and vote at a polling station, please contact the council as soon as possible.
3. Vote by proxy. Someone you trust can vote on your behalf. The deadline for applying was 5pm on 21 April. If you have a medical emergency that prevents you going to a polling station after this date, you can still apply.
