Sports Development
Sports development aims to help people of all ages and abilities to take part in a sport they enjoy.
We work in partnership with a number of groups and organisations including Sport Hampshire IOW, sport clubs, schools, youth groups, leisure centres and community centres - to name a few!
We help provide high quality clubs, coaches and volunteers as well as providing funding advice and support and implementing national initiatives such as Sport England's Sports Unlimited, which aims to increase the amount of quality PE from 3 to 5 hours a week.
Club and Coach Development
It is crucial to have a wide variety of clubs with skilled coaches. That's why we help clubs with events and qualifications and support coaching courses.
Sport Hampshire IOW
Sport Hampshire IOW provides opportunities for all to take part in a variety of sports. East Hampshire District Council is a partner of Sport Hampshire IOW and works with them on a variery of projects, programmes and events.
