Non-Dependant Deductions 2011 -2012
Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit is usually reduced for each non-dependant living in your household.
Non dependants are usually adult sons, daughters, other relatives or friends. The amounts deducted are different for Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit and are detailed in the tables below.
If either you or your partner are registered blind, receive either Attendance Allowance or the Care component of Disability Living Allowance there is no non dependant deduction.
