Simpler claims for older people

From October 2008, customers phoning The Pension Service to claim Pension Credit will be able to claim Housing Benefit and or Council Tax Benefit (HB/CTB) at the same time. The Pension Service will take the claim information and pass it directly to the appropriate local authority for assessment.
