Petersfield Christmas Festival
Petersfield Christmas Festival is being organised by East Hampshire District Council and will become an annual yuletide event.
We are transforming Petersfield into a traditional winter wonderland including a Christmas Market, Skate Rink on The Square, Performance Stage, Street Performers, Children’s Activities, Outdoor Christmas Café, and Christmas Garden Market as well as incorporating our hugely popular regular Saturday Market and the final Sunday Hampshire Farmers’ Market before Christmas.
Our aim is to hold an event that will bring both business and the local community together, with a fresh retail opportunity for traders as well as a celebration and entertainment provision for families.

Location
The Petersfield Christmas Festival is taking place on and around The Square, the High Street, Chapel and Lavant streets; the style will be very traditional, festive, and tasteful. Check out the sight layout on our map, attached below.
Times
The Festival will run for three days:

Friday 5th December – 12:00-20:00 (incorporating the annual switching on of the Christmas lights)

Saturday 6th December – 10:00-18:00
-
Sunday 7th December – 10:00-16:00
Christmas Market
There will be a Christmas Market, housed in 20 individual Chalets situated in the grounds of St. Peter’s Church
The Square
The Square will host a skate-rink, a large marquee (for people to enjoy food and drink), and a performance stage to one side
Entertainment and activities
The High Street, Lavant and Chapel streets will host an 'outdoor market' with a range of street stalls selling a variety of wares (including Hampshire Farmers’ Market on Sunday), as well as hosting numerous activities and entertainment over the course of the three days for children and other visitors, including street performers and a ‘Santa’s Grotto’. There will be a programme of events; those taking place on the stage and those street based.

Volunteering - Santa needs you!
Are you or your organisation interested in volunteering at the Petersfield Christmas Festival?
There are plenty of opportunities including marshalling and traffic control, working on stalls, ticket sales, plus plenty more! If you would like to be part of this fantastic festive foray, check out more information on our volunteering pages
We are also looking for street and stage acts, as well as costumed street scene performers, so if you, or anyone you know may be interested in performing or taking part in the themed street scene, please see our pages providing information for performers
Performing
Are YOU interested in performing at Petersfield Christmas Festival or do you know a group or organisation that is?
There are plenty of opportunities for individuals, groups, and organisations to perform at this exciting event. We’re interested in anything from street theatre to stage performances, recitals, readings, singing, dancing, plays, pantomimes, and demonstrations (such as arts and crafts).
