School Travel Plans aims to reduce unnecessary car trips to school and encourage parents, pupils, teachers and visitors to travel to and from schools in safer, healthier and more environmentally sustainable ways.
Hampshire County Council and East Hampshire District Council have been involved in School Travel Planning and the Safer Routes to Schools Programme for a number of years.  All state schools in East Hampshire now have School Travel Plans in place. Officers can offer a free school travel planning advice and support service for those schools interested in developing a travel plan.

If you would like to find out more on School Travel Plans, contact Sarah Hobbs, East hampshire District Council's Community Access Officer on 01730 234013 or e-mail sarah.hobbs@easthants.gov.uk
