Compact Action Group
We believe that partnership working is important to us all in East Hampshire and it helps if we understand how each of our organisations operates.
We’ve agreed a common set of principles which are set out in a document called the Compact for East Hampshire; this has been ratified by East Hampshire Community Partnership. The Compact is an agreement between the voluntary and community sector and other organisations to improve their relationships for mutual advantage.
It is an evolving agreement between organisations rather than individuals which helps to define how partner agencies will behave and includes Codes of Conduct to ensure good practice.
So far, we’ve agreed to;
- A common set of values, (see section 3 of the EH Compact)
- Mutual responsibility and respect
- Transparency and equal access to information
- Honesty and openness through two way communication
- Social inclusion
- Agreed consultation processes
- Equality of access and opportunity
- Commit to the resolution of conflict
- A transparent approach to funding, (see Compact Funding Code, bottom of the page)
- Good practice in volunteering, (see Compact Volunteering Code, bottom of the page)
- Joint training initiatives
