Merchistoun Hall meeting

Users and potential users of Merchistoun Hall are invited to attend a special meeting at
Merchistoun Hall, on Thursday February 22, at 7.30pm.

The evening will help shape two new groups for the association: A fundraising group and a new activities group.

The evening will also launch the ‘Friends of Merchistoun Hall’ project - a group of volunteers who make the work of the association known to the wider community and support its development.

There will be a buffet and refreshments.

The staff and trustees hope that it will be a well attended creative evening that sees the association develop its services even further to benefit its local community.

Starlights young drama group

A Victorian orphanage, a strict house-keeper, a ghost & a ‘magic’ butterfly are just some of the ingredients that make up the next production to be staged by the Starlights 5-7 young drama group at Merchistoun Hall in Horndean.

‘The fountain of Youth’ is the title for the play that has been created by the young
members of the group, who are aged between five and seven years of age.

There are also places available for those young aspiring actors who want to join the drama group which meets every Wednesday during term time at the centre.

Each week there are rehearsals for productions presented in the halls professionally
equipped theatre. Plus games, story-making, art (which includes set design,
program & poster design) and is led by the Centre’s Senior Manager - Brendan Charles.

For more details on joining the group call Brendan on 023 9259 7114.
