Grants available for children's community projects

Community and voluntary groups that work with children and young people have been invited to attend a FREE workshop session to find out about The Local Network Fund. The fund gives grants from £250 to £7000 for projects or activities that benefit children or young people aged 0 – 19.

The session, which will be held in the evening on Tuesday 27 September at RKdia in Horndean, will include an introduction to the fund, tips on how to fill in the application form and impress the Local Network Fund Panel members, practical examples of what can and cannot be funded and a question and answer session.

The workshop is being organised by Community First East Hampshire, who promote volunteering and support voluntary and community organisations in East Hampshire.

Claire Coxwell, Community First’s Development Manager said,”Information about funding is the subject we get asked about most. The Local Network Fund has given grants to hundreds of groups in Hampshire - sports clubs, play schemes, youth forums, pre-schools, parent & baby groups and many others. This is an ideal opportunity to go along and find out whether your project is eligible for a grant.”
