Horndean Book Fair
There will be thousands of second-hand books, from pocket-money paperbacks to the scarce and collectible, at the Horndean Book Fair, being held at Merchistoun Hall, Horndean, on Sunday 16 December between 10.00am and 4.00pm.
There will be sellers from Hampshire, Dorset, Wiltshire and Sussex with books for everyone - fiction, non-fiction, and books of specialist interest. Although second-hand, many of them are in gift condition and will make the perfect present for Christmas.
Specialist books include children's, those on transport and motoring, art, natural history and exploration, rarer first editions, military and aviation, books for and about women, sport, topography, music, social history and local interest, some prints and ephemera - collectibles originally not intended to be retained or preserved, such as advertising trade cards, baseball cards, bookmarks and cigarette cards.
There is free parking and free admission.
