Horndean Elders Club members have childhood memories published
In spring 2006, a project by the Rotunda Arts Project of Petersfield was launched, with the aim of gathering
childhood stories from the over 50s. The stories selected were to be published in a book.
Out of the 18 stories which were finally chosen, four came from members of Horndean Elders Club - Don [Sonny] Spittles 91, John Davies 82, Nora Cuthbert 87 and Vera Pay 96.
The book “Zeppelius and Stillettos” was published in November and is available from the Dragon Street Gallery and One Tree Books in Petersfield, at £6.99.
Horndean Elders Club meet at Merchistoun Hall, Horndean on the first and third Wednesday of each month, from 1.45 to 3.45 pm. If you are interested to find out more about us, or would like to join us, contact 023 9259 7114 or 023 9259 2048.
