Night doesn't stop play
Late-night play was the order of the day for 60 members of The Woodcraft Folk when they stayed up all night at Playzone in Hampshire.
Friday 16 November saw 50 young people, aged 7 - 19 years, from Liss Woodcraft Folk and ten young people from Portsmouth Woodcraft having the time of their lives while flying down big slides, swinging on ropes, crawling through tunnels, playing laser games and facing the dangers of rope walkways. The young people, supported by ten Woodcraft leaders, played from 9-30pm to 8-30am Saturday, only stopping for supper and breakfast.
Pam Gruber, Project Co-ordinator, said, "The young people love staying up all night, and being able to meet and interact with members of another Woodcraft Folk group was very good for increasing their social skills. They have all had a fantastic time and my thanks go to the adults that give up their time to make this happen."
Liss Woodcraft Folk are now offering a Saturday Special Day for children from five years old so that parents can go Christmas shopping on their own. The event is on the 8 December at the Liss Triangle Centre and costs £12.
