Community Safety - Giving you feedback

We are aware that it is very important to provide feedback. We do this in the following ways:

    • We publish quarterly news letters relating to the East Hampshire District and the work of the East Hampshire Community Safety Partnership.

    • Where a Rural Safety Initiative has been set up, we ensure a representative from the Community Safety Team attends when invited and that full support is given including access to other appropriate agencies.

    • We regularly update the Community Safety Action Plan which shows how we are performing and what we have done. This plan can be viewed on our Community Safety Website

    • We attend Community Forums when requested and update members and the community about the work of community safety. This also gives us the opportunity to hear what the public would like us to focus on.

    • We attend Parish Council meetings when invited to talk about the work of Community Safety and find out what local issues people would like us to focus on.

    • The police hold regular beat surgeries where anyone can come along and have a chat about local issues. The dates for the beat surgeries can be found on the Hampshire Constabulary Website. The police ask the public what their local issues are and this is fed back to the Community Safety Partnership via the monthly crime meetings called CTCG. This helps ensure we are working on the issues which the community want us to work on.

    • Wherever possible, a police officer attends the Community Forums to answer any questions and hear about local issues. This information is fed back to the monthly crime meetings.

    • We arrange PACT events (Partners and Communities Together) across the district to tell people about the work of community safety and hear what their local issues are. The dates of these events are published on our website.
