    Licensing Committee

cafe tablesThe Licensing Committee meets regularly to consider licensing issues from increasing tariffs for local taxis, to alcohol and entertainment licences which have received objections.

A hearing will only take place if there are objections to an application: the law requires the council to approve un-opposed applications. Objections may come from a variety of sources, including Hampshire Constabulary, Hampshire Fire and Rescue, noise pollution officers, health and safety officers and local residents.
