Food Business Registration
Regulation (EC) No. 852/2004 requires proprietors of food businesses (including mobile caterers) to register their premises with the Local Authority at least 28 days prior to opening.
The purpose of registration is to provide local authorities with information about the food premises in their area so they can plan their inspections and target enforcement resources effectively.
All food businesses as defined in Regulation (EC) No. 178/2004 are required to register. In the case of mobile food vehicles the business should register with the Local Authority in whose area they keep the vehicle overnight.
Registration is a simple process, free of charge, and the application form should only take a few minutes to complete.

Your application will be acknowledged upon receipt. Please read the explanatory notes on the second page or reverse of the application. Registration does not need to be renewed periodically unless there is a change in proprietor or in the nature of the business.
