I don't agree with what the officer has asked me to do. What can I do?

East Hampshire District Council has formally adopted the Enforcement Concordat issued by the Cabinet Office. Consequently, it is our policy to ensure that enforcement is open, proportional and consistent. All letters, reports and notices that are issued will state what was wrong, why it is a contravention of regulations and what we expect you to do to put things right together with timescales. In view of this policy we would normally expect disagreements to be settled or be the subject of negotiation at the time the officer visited your premises.

Where you were unable to resolve an issue with the officer concerned you have a right to have your case heard by Stuart Wedgbury, Acting Environmental Health Manager (Food, Health & Safety and Licensing).
    Telephone 01730 234326
    E-mail: stuart.wedgbury@easthants.gov.uk

If he is unable to resolve the issue for you then the matter will be referred to

Jackie Batchelor, Executive Head, Environment and Neighbourhood Quality
    Telephone 01730 234010
    E-mail: jackie.batchelor@easthants.gov.uk

If you are still unhappy with the service, we will advise you on how to take matters further.

If formal notices have been served on you, there is a formal appeal process detailed on the reverse of each notice.
