    Food Service Standards

    Most local councils have standards for customer care of one sort or another. Some are more detailed than others. What you often find though is that they have been produced by Council officials, for Council officials, with little or no consultation with the people who actually use the services! East Hampshire's Environmental Health Service is different.

    Following customer consultation a new set of service standards have been put together covering all our services. They set out exactly what customers can expect when they phone, write, email or visit us. Tough but achievable targets have been set for answering the phone, responding to letters and, crucially, keeping people informed about their enquiry.

    We will be monitoring how well we deliver on these standards and will publish the results annually. We will also be looking to make our targets even more challenging in time but will not compromise on quality.
