Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 2002 (CHIP)
CHIP refers to the Chemicals (Hazard Information and Packaging for Supply) Regulations 2002. These are sometimes also known as CHIP3.
CHIP is the law that applies to suppliers of dangerous chemicals. Its purpose is to protect people and the environment from the effects of those chemicals by requiring suppliers to provide information about the dangers and to package them safely.

Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations 2002 (COSHH)
These regulations are designed to prevent people at work and any other person being exposed to substances that are hazardous to health. Lots of different substances have to be used when working; unfortunately many of them are in fact hazardous. In some cases they can cause persons exposed to them to become ill, or even die.
