    Private Sector Housing - Homecheck

Homecheck will provide a free home safety and security check and carry out minor repairs and electrical safety work, for the over 60s or for families with children under 5. Homecheck will be free of charge for those who qualify and are on an income-related benefit.

For those applicants who are over 60 and/or registered disabled but not in receipt of an income-related benefit, there may be a charge for some items.

The cost of the inspection and of supplying and fitting home safety and security items, allowed under the scheme, will be met by East Hampshire District Council. The inspection and works will be carried out by Drum Housing Association with whom the Council are working in partnership.

    Aims of the scheme
