The ancient town of Petersfield, originally built as a Norman “new town” at the end of the 11th century, is a charming and thriving country market town situated amid the gentle slopes of the South Downs in an area of outstanding natural beauty.
A twice weekly market is held every Wednesday and Saturday throughout the year in The Square, around the magnificent equestrian statue of King William III. The Square is located in the town centre between St Peter’s Church and Rams Walk . There is ample parking available in the Central Car Park at the rear of Rams Walk, or in our other car parks in Castle Yard, Swan Street or Festival Hall.
