    Empty Home Loan

Empty properties are a wasted resource and in some cases an eye sore. East Hampshire District Council wants to help owners to repair these properties and bring them back into use. Following a successful pilot scheme East Hampshire District Council is now able to offer an interest free loan to finance the refurbishing of empty dwellings.

The maximum loan amount is based upon 80% of the potential rental income of the property over 70 months.

When a loan is taken out, and renovations are complete, the property must be managed by an accredited managing agent.

Repayment will be made of equal payments spread out over up to 84 months (7 years) beginning 3 months after the completion of the works.

All loans are at the discretion of the Council.
