Licence applications
Many of our licences are available through the EU Services Directive.This has been brought in to make it easier for service providers, particularly small and medium sized enterprises, to offer their services to customers in all EU countries.
However some licences, including taxi and gambling licences, are not covered by this initiative.
How long do licences take?
Sometimes your application will have a consultation time. There could be delays to your application which can be out of our control, for instance when we are awaiting responses from external parties. The maximum days to process your application are detailed underneath.
If tacit consent applies you will be able to act as though your application is granted if you have not heard from us by the end of the target completion period.
After all checks have been carried out and the applicable consultation time has passed, we aim to send you your licence or permit within 5 working days.
