As a council we aim to meet the needs of the area by providing high quality services.  Our mission statement is 'Improving people's lives', and our performance management information shows how we do that.

We are reviewing services in line with Best Value legislation, to make sure they are efficient, effective and economic and meeting the needs of the community. Best Value is a government initiative which means providing the best quality service for the best price.

 

 

Indicates whether we are meeting the standards that have been set nationally and those we set ourselves locally. Councillors and council staff use them to see how well the council is doing.
