The main advantages are to submiting applications online through the portal are:

- immediate delivery and email acknowledgement
- online record of your completed applications
- online help function when completing applications
Please note: we can accept files submitted in pdf format only
Should you find you need further information whilst submitting an applicaiton through the Planning Portal, there is a facility to save the applicaiton in draft and return to complete it later.
Please ensure document attachment names are clearly named e g existing elevations and floor plans, sections, design and access statement, as these titles will appear on our website.
It is possible to submit the application form through the Planning Portal and provide other documentation by post. This can be particularly useful if you are submitting through the Planning Portal for the first time, or are unsure of the process.
You can also pay application fees online and you will be guided through the fee calculator once the application has been completed.
