    Planning Portal logoThe Planning Portal is a national one-stop online shop for planning information and services. 

         
    • submit a planning application electronically    
    • learn about the planning system    
    • find out whether you are likely to need planning permission    
    • find out about development policy in your area    
    • research the latest government policy

    The main advantages to submiting applications online through the portal are:

    • savings on printing and postage costs
    • immediate delivery and email acknowledgement  
    • online record of your completed applications    
    • online help function when completing applications

    Please note: we can accept files submitted in pdf format only

    Should you find you need further information whilst submitting an application through the Planning Portal, you can save the application in draft and return to complete it later.

    Please ensure document attachments are clearly named e g existing elevations and floor plans, sections, design and access statement, as these titles will appear on our website.

    It is possible to submit the application form through the Planning Portal and provide other documentation by post. This can be particularly useful if you are submitting through the Planning Portal for the first time, or are unsure of the process.

    You can also pay application fees online and you will be guided through the fee calculator once the application has been completed.
