    Garden Waste Collection Service

    This will be collected with your refuse bin.

    Check your bin collection calendars to find out what day that will be.

    Should you wish to join the Garden Waste Service please contact the council. It currently costs £25 per annum.

    What CAN go in the sack

    grass cuttings
    hedge cuttings
    weeds
    small branches
    leaves (small amounts)
    prunings
    Max. weight: 16kg

    What CAN NOT go in the sack

    soil/concrete/rubble
    vegetable peelings
    food scraps
    coal ash
    animal waste
    commercial waste
    general household waste

    All garden waste collected by the reusable sack scheme is composted to make ‘Pro-Grow’, an organic soil conditioner, which you can buy at your local Household Waste Recycling Centre.

    How to join

    Please call us if you would like to apply for a licence: 0300 300 0013.

    Alternatively please complete the form which you can download from our website, return it with your payment (either cheque or debit card) to:
    Garden Waste, East Hampshire District Council, Penns Place, Petersfield, Hampshire, GU31 4EX.

    Please allow 14 days from the date we receive your application for your sack.
