    Council Tax and Business Rates

    moneyCouncil Tax

Every household in East Hampshire pays Council Tax which is collected by East Hampshire District Council, and is then split between Hampshire County Council (72.4%), East Hampshire District Council (9.2%), Hampshire Police Authority (10.2%), Hampshire Fire and Rescue (4.3%) and your Parish or Town Council (average 3.9%).

    Business Rates

EHDC also collects Business Rates (or non-domestic rates) from businesses in the area. The rates are pooled by central government and redistributed to local councils according to the number of people living in the area (except in the City of London where special arrangements apply).

In these pages you can find out more about how much the rates are, who has to pay them, and how to make payments.
