Getting around East Hampshire


There are a number of bus services operating in East Hampshire.

Hampshire County Council has produced the following travel guide which covers areas including Alton, Bordon, Liphook and Petersfield.


South Western Railway operates the two main rail routes through East Hampshire:

  1. Trains run from Alton, via Bentley to Farnham, Aldershot and London Waterloo.
  2. Trains run from Portsmouth to London Waterloo, calling at the following stations in East Hampshire: Rowlands Castle, Petersfield, Liss and Liphook.


National Express runs a fast service linking Portsmouth to Victoria Coach Station in London, stopping at Horndean, Petersfield and Bordon.

Call & Go East Hampshire

Community first runs a minibus services in East Hampshire.

These are bookable services for anyone whose transport needs are not met by public bus services.

Minibus hire 

Community Transport operate a fleet of minibuses that are available for local group hire.

Organisations can use their own drivers or use Community Transport's volunteer drivers.

Petersfield shopmobility scheme

South Downs Association of Disabled People runs a shopmobility scheme in Petersfield.

We are situated in the Central Car Park in Petersfield – close to Ramswalk Shopping Precinct

Alton shopmobility scheme

Alton Community Association runs a shopmobility scheme in Alton from the Community Centre.

We have mobility scooters and manual wheelchairs available for hire by the hour. We are situated in the Banks car park, behind the High Street opposite the Library.
