East Hampshire District Council does not have principal responsibility for traffic in the area but it works closely with other organisations, such as Hampshire County Council, to promote and improve sustainable local transport services.

We do this by promoting cycle routes and cycle ways and we support local schools and businesses producing their own travel plans to support sustainable transport. We also encourage people living and working in East Hampshire to consider alternatives to the car.

South Downs Association of Disabled People operates a 'shopmobility' scheme in Petersfield. This service operates 6 days a week from the Central Car Park in Petersfield, close to the Ramswalk Shopping Precinct. It opens between 10 am - 4 pm.
