About East Hampshire District Council

East Hampshire is a very attractive rural district covering nearly 200 square miles. It is a very pleasant area in which to live and work and it attracts a large number of visitors each year.

This is an exciting and vibrant place to work which employs over 300 full time and part time staff.

The council has a shared chief executive and management team with Havant Borough Council.

Officers at the council carry out the policy decisions made by 44 councillors, who are elected every four years.

This is a dynamic local authority with a fresh and optimistic approach to meeting challenges and opportunities. We have a clear focus about what we want to achieve and be judged on.

Equal opportunities

We are committed to ensuring equality of opportunity for all current and potential staff. This is supported by our Comprehensive Equality Policy.

All applicants will be treated in a fair and equal manner without discrimination and in accordance with the law regardless of gender, religion, marital status, age, disability, sexual orientation or ethnic origin.
