Take a stand against climate change - at East Hampshire's own COP26

Businesses and community groups which work to combat climate change are invited to book a stall and exhibit at East Hampshire’s own COP26.

Ahead of this year's international COP26, East Hampshire will be hosting a climate conference of its own, focusing on the opportunities to take action locally.

The event, organised jointly by EHDC and Damian Hinds MP, will be held in Alton on 8 October at Alton Maltings.

COP26 East Hampshire will feature speakers and exhibitors and be an opportunity to look at what we can do locally in East Hampshire to accelerate decarbonisation.

Organisations offering products, services or advice about how to reduce our impact on the environment are welcome to attend and talk to visitors.

As well as the exhibition fair COP26 East Hampshire will include talks from industry experts

Ahead of the event three local Action Groups are developing recommendations in the key subject areas of buildings; transport; and land use and agriculture.

Participants in these groups include local community groups and organisations who are active in these sectors, as well as representatives from local businesses, farms and schools and officials from both Hampshire County Council and East Hampshire District Council.

The findings from these groups will be shared at the COP East Hampshire event, showcasing new ideas and innovative work already underway locally.
