Final round of grants for businesses affected by coronavirus now open

Businesses that saw their income affected by the Omicron variant and Plan B restrictions during December 2021 can now apply to East Hampshire District Council (EHDC) for the final round of Additional Restrictions Grants (ARG).

Applications will close at midnight on Wednesday 2 March.

The grants – ranging from £1,300 to £7,800 – will be awarded to businesses that can demonstrate a loss of income, with priority given to businesses that benefit the local community, economy and environment.

Businesses who successfully applied for an ARG during January 2022 cannot apply for this funding.

Councillor Charles Louisson, EHDC portfolio holder for Finance, said:

“Christmas and New Year may feel like a long time ago for most of us, but if your business was relying on a peak of customers that never came, it is probably still having an impact on your balance sheets.

“This final round of grants is the last opportunity for local businesses to recover some of their lost income over the festive period.”
