Let us help make your home warmer this winter

If you’re feeling the bite of the colder weather and rising energy bills, it’s time to think about whether you could make your home more energy efficient.

Alton residents could qualify for free energy saving measures, through a new government scheme - Green Homes Grant. You could qualify if your home is hard to heat, owned or privately rented, and you are in receipt of benefits or on a low income.

What can be funded by the scheme?

The scheme can fund a range of energy efficiency measures including:

  • Wall insulation
  • Loft insulation
  • Renewable heating systems (such as air source heat pumps)
  • Double/triple glazing (to replace single glazing)
  • Energy efficient doors
  • Thermostats and heating controls

What help will I get?

Warmworks has been appointed as the Managing Agent for this Green Homes Grant scheme.

They manage a range of energy efficiency projects throughout the UK. Since 2015 they have improved over 20,000 properties. The company has made homes warmer, more comfortable and reduced fuel bills by an average of £300 per year.

As the Managing Agent they will, free of charge:

  • Assess your property
  • Check to see if you meet the criteria
  • Provide you with a report, recommending improvements for your home
  • Access the funding on your behalf
  • Arrange the installation of the improvements
  • Carry out a quality inspection of the work

If you’d like to take advantage of this funding, then get in touch with Warmworks and they’ll talk you through the process.

This round of funding will end on 31 March 2022 and installation should take place before the end of June 2022.

Funding for this scheme comes from the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy.
