Normal collection day Revised collection date
Monday 5 April Tuesday 6 April
Tuesday 6 April Wednesday 7 April
Wednesday 7 April Thursday 8 April
Thursday 8 April Friday 9 April
Friday 9 April Saturday 10 April

Collections will return to their usual days from Monday 12 April 2021.

Householders are reminded to have their bins out ready for collection by 7am on their collection day for crews to collect.

Here's our tips for Easter recycling:

Easter eggs

After you have enjoyed your chocolate please put the aluminium foil and wrappers, with any plastic packaging into your rubbish bin.

The good news is that, like any other piece of cardboard, the outer packaging is 100% recyclable and can go in your recycling bin. Collapsing the boxes first helps leave room in your bin for more recycling.

Hot cross bun bags

There’s one question to ask when it comes to recycling plastic – ‘is it the shape of a bottle?’ The golden rule is, if it is, it goes in your recycling bin.

That means plastic bags are a no-no, as are other soft plastics like bread bags and hot cross bun bags.
