Community groups and voluntary organisations can get bespoke funding advice for their project at a fundraising event in Petersfield.
Meet the Funders, arranged by Community First and East Hampshire District Council, will be an ideal opportunity for local organisations to sit down with some of the major local and national funders.
Held on Monday 24 June, in the Council Chamber, Penns Place, Petersfield, the event will feature presentations followed by one-to-one consultations with funders to discuss how to make their bids count.
Taking part will be:
The Arts Council
South Downs National Park
The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation
The Heritage Lottery Fund
The National Lottery Community Fund
East Hampshire District Council
Cllr Julie Butler, EHDC Deputy Leader, said: “So much of the great work being carried out by community groups in the district relies on funding from other sources.
“The more information you can find out about the funders and what they are looking for, the more chance you have of bringing your community project to fruition.
“This is a chance to discuss your own plans and get bespoke advice on how to maximise your chances of making a successful application.”
The day will run from 9.30am-3pm with presentations from the funders in the morning and one-to-one sessions in the afternoon. Those attending will be able to book a one-to-one session with a funder during the event, on a first come first served basis.
Places are limited for the event, book your places by contact Rebecca Probert, Community Officer, on Rebecca.firstname.lastname@example.org or 01730 234185.
