Send your evidence to support a benefit claim

If you have made a new claim for council tax support or housing benefit, reported a change in your circumstances or submitted an application for discretionary housing payments or exceptional hardship payments, you can now send us additional evidence online to support your claim.

You will need to photograph or scan your documents and save them on your smart phone, tablet or computer.

To ensure your evidence documentation is matched with your claim, we will request some additional personal information. Please ensure you provide us with a email address so we can provide you with a confirmation receipt.

At the top of the form, there is a button that says 'upload and attach file'. Select this and you will be able to browse your documents to attach them to the form.

A message will appear to confirm the successful upload.

Continue to do this for each document you want to send us, then select the 'submit' button. You will then be sent a confirmation email.
