Suggestions of sites to be considered in the Land Availability Assessment (LAA) can be submitted at any time using the Site Submission Form link below.

Sites have to be either:

  • 0.25ha or more
  • suitably able to accommodate five or more homes, or one or more Traveller pitches/travelling showpersons plots

The LAA assesses the suitability, availability, and achievability of each site, including:

  • how much development could take place
  • how likely we are to use the site for development

For more information, please see the LAA Methodology below.

Any new sites received after 31 March each year or updates to existing sites received after this time will be considered in the next iteration of the LAA.

Past site submissions made to East Hampshire do not need to be resubmitted.

You will need to complete a separate form for each site that you wish to put forward.

The South Downs National Park is its own planning authority and therefore the LAA will only consider sites that fall within East Hampshire Local Planning Authority. Sites within the South Downs Planning Authority Area should be submitted directly to the South Downs National Park Authority.
