The Salvation Army has reopened its textile banks following their closure during the pandemic lockdown.
If you visit the textile banks and they are full, please take your textiles home with you and do not leave them on the floor around the banks.
Clearing fly tipping from recycling sites is using valuable resources which could be used elsewhere during these challenging times.
Your old clothes, shoes and material can be turned into cash for local good causes at our blue textile recycling banks, run by the European Recycling Company.
You can recycle all kinds of textiles, including:
- Household linen
- Shoes (in pairs)
- Accessories like bags and hats
You should put your items into a plastic bag before placing them in the bank.
Even worn or old items can be recycled as long as they are clean. The money raised will go to community organisations and charities.
