Following the new restrictions which came into force on Thursday 5 November 2020, East Hampshire District Council will not be permitting any events to take place on council owned land until further notice.
In line with the national announcement, any events and gatherings that are planned between 5 November and 2 December will need to be cancelled.
There are a few exceptions to this, as outlined below.
The below events represent current exceptional circumstances. These events must be planned and:
- adhere at all times to the strictest public health safety measures
- demonstrate necessary COVID-secure measures are in place
- be in line with the most up-to-date government guidance
Where virtual events are planned, these must explicitly state that public viewing must take place at home, and that national guidance must be followed with regards to gatherings only. For example - mixing with people within same households, those in their support bubble, or individually with one other person from outside their household if outdoors.
National guidance must also be followed with regards to permitted work activity for those setting up these virtual events.
These must take place outside and follow strict public health precautions including social distancing, limited contact with shared surfaces (including any items being picked up or dropped off) and be in line with national guidance on mixing with people outside households (as above).
