Build your business with a free course this October

Entrepreneurs and people with a business idea can sign up now for a free course to help build and evolve their business with the Rebel Business School, supported by East Hampshire District Council (EHDC).

The free, five-day online course will run via Zoom from Monday 18 October to Friday 22 October 2021 and is broken down into two sessions per day (10am–12.30pm and 1.30pm–3pm).

Whether you are at the beginning of your start-up journey, or you are an established business, the course will show you a new way of thinking, give you practical ways to get your idea off the ground and show you how to sustain and thrive as a business.

The course is being funded by EHDC, along with Havant Borough Council, New Forest District Council and Waverley Borough Council and delivered through a Hampshire-based enterprise called The Rebel Business School.

Councillor Ken Moon, EHDC portfolio holder for Economic Development, said: “Supporting existing entrepreneurs and finding new ones with fledgling ideas is key to the district’s economy.

“We first funded this week-long course in December 2020 where 86 people from East Hampshire district and Havant borough attended. 43% of attendees started trading by the end of the course and 25% of businesses had made their first sale.

“The key information on sales and marketing, tax, VAT and the law is something that no business leader should be without and is well worth the time commitment.”
