EHDC recruiting organisations to Armed Forces stakeholder group

East Hampshire District Council is looking to recruit community groups that care for members of the Armed Forces and veterans.

The council is calling on organisations that provide services to current and former members of the Armed Forces to work together.

This will be an opportunity to build closer working relationships with other groups, to share ideas, good practice and information and to hear from guest speakers.

Cllr Ben Bentley, EHDC’s Armed Forces Champion, said: “There are lots of local organisations that work with former servicemen and women.

“Let’s join forces and create a network of groups and services that can really help each other and, most importantly, help all our residents who have served.”

East Hampshire District Council has signed an Armed Forces Covenant pledging to treat servicemen and veterans fairly and has received a Bronze Award from the Ministry of Defence as part of its Defence Employer Recognition Scheme.
