We are:

  • moving to new, smaller, more energy efficient offices
  • including a section on climate impact in every business case produced within the council
  • training our staff and councillors to better understand the impact of our services on the climate and environment

We have already invested in electric vehicles that are used on council business.

Working with a partner, the council has installed Rapid (Genie Point) EV charge-points in Petersfield, Alton and at Liphook services on the A3 northbound.

East Hampshire District Council has two electric vehicles and uses the charge points at Penns Place for operational purposes. The switch to electric vehicles is saving cash and carbon for the council.

If you are looking for electric vehicle charging points near you, visit the Zap Map website.
