
A framework for the administration of East Hampshire District Council has been agreed between Conservatives and Whitehill & Bordon Community Party
The Conservatives (19 seats) have come to an arrangement with the Whitehill & Bordon Community Party (six seats). The Liberal Democrats secured 14 seats in the elections, the Green Party secured two, Labour secured one and there is one Independent seat.
Cllr Richard Millard will continue his six-year Leadership of the council and Cllr Andy Tree (Whitehill & Bordon Community Party) will be the Deputy Leader, with a cabinet portfolio to cover oversight of EHDC matters in the Whitehill & Bordon area.

Speaking after EHDC's Annual Council, on Thursday 18 May, Cllr Millard, EHDC Leader, said: “It’s not about politics, it’s about delivering for our residents. I am looking forward to working with Cllr Tree and his colleagues on the Whitehill & Bordon Community Party. If we work together we will achieve what we want to deliver locally.
"Everyone in this chamber is here to support the residents. Between us we have the experience, energy and dedication to deliver really positive results for the whole district."
Cllr Andy Tree, EHDC Deputy Leader, said: "I look forward to working with all councillors of all parties to deliver results for residents.
"When everyone works together and is collaborating then the end result is always better.
"This new framework helps us create a new way of working that brings all political sides together to work in everyone's interests."

Cllr Anthony Williams will be the Chairman of the Council and Cllr Catherine Clark will be the Vice Chairman.
Cllr Steve Hunt will be the Chairman of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
