Time is running out for charities to take part in a fund-raising walk in Whitehill & Bordon.

Local organisations around East Hampshire, but especially those local to Whitehill & Bordon, are invited to sign up for the Charity Walk for Peace, an annual event that raises money for local good causes.

The deadline to register is Monday 10 April. Community groups can ask for an application form from EHDC officer Lisa Clements at lisa.clements@easthants.gov.uk

For the second year running the walk will be held at Hogmoor Inclosure on Saturday 20 May. It is run in partnership between East Hampshire District Council and the Ahmadiyya Muslim Elders Association with a view to supporting local good causes and fostering strong communities.

Meer Anjum Pervaiz, Regional President of the AMEA, said: “Our motto is love for all, hatred for none, and we would love to see the people of Whitehill & Bordon come out and take part in this year’s Charity Walk for Peace.

“The more people that come, the more money we raise and that is good news for everyone involved.

“If you run a charity locally, make sure you apply to take part and your charity might end up benefitting from this great event.”
